Simbioza is more than a place for static articles. These are the main capabilities you can combine around your team's needs.
From an idea to a published page
Simbioza organizes documentation into workspaces with a page tree, links, attachments, and search. Draft and published versions are separate: an editor prepares content, a reviewer checks it, and someone with publishing rights decides when it becomes visible. Version history and the activity log preserve the trail of changes.
Permissions that match real work
Grant users and groups separate rights to view, add, edit, publish, delete, and manage a workspace. Inherited rights can be narrowed or explicitly denied on a page. Search and included content respect the same rights, so private information does not leak through results.
A built-in editor with live content
The editor offers images, attachments, cards, tabs, accordions, dropdown content, and page inclusion. Build five editable chart types: bar, line, area, pie, and doughnut. Calendars and task lists can be embedded as current views; changing an event or task does not require republishing the page text.
Calendars and meetings
Use personal, team, and resource calendars on the web. Basic CalDAV access supports compatible clients. The meeting planner checks participant free time and room or equipment availability, supports resource approval requests, and handles invitations and attendee replies.
Sign-in, appearance, and accessibility
Local sign-in can be complemented by SAML, CAS, OpenID Connect, and OAuth2 provider profiles. A global theme shapes the site, while a workspace can have its own isolated theme. The Accessibility module offers personal font, contrast, and color choices; it does not replace semantic content and real accessibility testing.
Migration, integration, and operations
Import a Confluence space with pages, attachments, links, and supported macros, then review the result before publication. Multiple languages, an API, notifications, email, backups, and an activity log support operation and integration. Each installation chooses the modules it needs; this demo enables them for exploration.
Navigation that fits the work
Administrators can edit the application-wide top and settings menus. Special top and left menus may target a section of the application, a whole workspace, or an individual page; their order, links, and multilingual labels are configurable. A workspace manager can independently edit its own top and left menus without changing global navigation or another workspace. The left menu can be a custom tree of groups and links, while the regular workspace page tree remains available.
